Braves Strike First: Harris and Yastrzemski Go Deep
The Braves rolled into Miami hungry for more wins. They were riding three straight victories and their pitching staff was locked in. Spencer Strider took the mound for Atlanta, ready to dominate. The Marlins sent Sandy Alcantara to the hill—a former Cy Young winner looking to slow down the Braves' bats. Michael Harris II stepped up first and didn't waste time. He crushed a 90-mph changeup into center field. The ball sailed over the wall for a two-run homer. Acuña Jr. scored ahead of him. Two pitches later, Mike Yastrzemski came up and launched a 90-mph changeup into right-center. His home run made it 3-0. The Braves were rolling early. Miami's bats were already behind.
Miami Fights Back: Stowers Hits Two Long Balls
Owen Caissie got Miami on the board with a solo homer in the third. One inning later, Kyle Stowers stepped in with two outs and crushed a 78-mph curveball into right-center. The ball traveled 371 feet and scored one. Stowers wasn't done yet. In the seventh inning, he came up again. This time he smashed a 84-mph slider. The ball rocketed 382 feet over the wall. One run scored. Ronald Acuña Jr. singled in the fifth, driving in Yastrzemski and Ha-Seong Kim. Mike Yastrzemski doubled in the sixth, scoring Dominic Smith. The Braves kept attacking. By the eighth inning, they led 8-3. The Marlins' bats were working but Atlanta's offense was too much.
Harris Closes It Out: Braves Win 9-3 and Keep Rolling
The game went down to the ninth inning with Atlanta ahead 8-3. Michael Harris II stepped up one more time with a runner on base. He smashed a 94-mph changeup from Pete Fairbanks into center field. The ball flew 404 feet over the wall. That home run made it 9-3 and sealed the victory. Harris had an incredible night—three hits, two home runs, and three RBIs. Strider was tremendous on the mound for six and one-third innings. He struck out nine batters and allowed only three runs. The Braves improved to 36-16 on the season. Atlanta was winning ballgames and their pitching was sharp. Miami fell to 22-29 and lost their third straight game. The Braves were a machine nobody could stop right now.
