Pacific Division Heats Up
The Pacific Division is packed with action right now. Five teams are fighting hard, and the race at the top is super close. Let's check in on how each team is doing.
Lakers Leading the Division
The Los Angeles Lakers sit at the top with a 26-16 record. They're fifth in the Western Conference. Luka Doncic has been amazing, dropping about 34 points per game. He dishes out about 9 assists and grabs about 9 rebounds too. LeBron James keeps rolling with about 20 points and 7 assists per game. Austin Reaves has been hot too, scoring about 27 points per game. The Lakers just beat Denver and Toronto, with Luka showing off his offense.
Suns Right Behind
The Phoenix Suns are nipping at the Lakers' heels. They hold a 27-17 record and rank sixth in the West. Devin Booker leads the charge with about 25 points and 7 assists per game. Mark Williams controls the paint with about 13 points and 8 rebounds. The Suns just beat the 76ers and the Nets showing how dangerous they are.
Warriors in Trouble
Golden State lost to the Raptors on Tuesday and also lost Jimmy Butler for the season with an ACL injury. The Warriors are 25-20 and still eighth in the conference. Stephen Curry is still magic with the ball. He's averaging about 29 points per game. His jumper looks smooth as silk every time it leaves his hands. They're 2.5 games back from the division lead but it’s not clear what their plan is now that they lost Butler.
Clippers Climbing and Kings Struggling
The LA Clippers are now 19-24 after a horrific start. James Harden and Kawhi Leonard each score about 26 points per game, but injuries are hurting the team. They‘re steadily climbing the standings and look like a playoff team again.
The Sacramento Kings are having a tough season at 12-32. Domantas Sabonis, now back from injury, grabs about 12 rebounds per game while Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan handle the scoring. They’ve lost 2 games in a row but are looking more competitive.
The Pacific Division battle continues!
