The Denver Nuggets stopped Boston's hot streak on Wednesday night with a convincing 103-84 victory. Nikola Jokic looked unstoppable as he powered Denver back into the win column.
Jokic Takes Control
The three-time MVP dominated from start to finish. Jokic poured in 30 points and pulled down 12 rebounds. He controlled the paint like a giant guarding treasure. His passes found open teammates all night long, setting up six assists.
Jokic's presence changed everything in the second half. Denver outscored Boston 56-36 after halftime. The Nuggets needed this win badly after losing two straight games.
Boston's Winning Streak Ends
The Celtics came to Denver riding high with four straight victories. They had been winning by huge margins, crushing opponents by more than 20 points per game.
But Wednesday night felt different. Jaylen Brown fought hard with 23 points and 11 rebounds. His arms stretched for every rebound, muscles straining. Derrick White added 20 points and swatted away three shots on defense.
Without injured star Jayson Tatum, Boston struggled to score. The team shot just 33.3% from the floor. Their normally smooth offense looked stuck in mud.
Denver's Balanced Attack
Tim Hardaway Jr. sparked the bench with 14 points. Julian Strawther chipped in 12 more. Jonas Valanciunas looked sharp in just 12 minutes, scoring 11 points on excellent shooting.
Cameron Johnson added 11 points as Denver's offense clicked. Five different Nuggets scored in double figures.
Looking Ahead
Boston drops to 38-20, still sitting second in their conference. Denver improves to 37-22, holding fourth place in the West.
The Nuggets found their rhythm at home. Jokic showed why he remains the most complete player in basketball. His fingerprints covered every part of this victory as Denver bounced back strong.
