The Charlotte Hornets stormed into Boston and crushed the Celtics 118-89 on Wednesday night. Charlotte's winning streak now stands at six games. The young Hornets looked unstoppable from start to finish.
Hornets Take Control Early
Charlotte jumped ahead 35-23 after the first quarter. The Hornets kept their foot on the gas. By halftime, they led 64-43. Boston never found an answer.
The third quarter brought more pain for the home crowd. Charlotte stretched the lead to 91-68. The Hornets moved the ball beautifully and found open shots all night.
Knueppel Leads the Attack
Rookie Kon Knueppel poured in 20 points for Charlotte. The young wing hit half his shots from the floor. He played with confidence and energy for 31 minutes.
Brandon Miller added 18 points on hot shooting. He connected on about 62 percent of his attempts. Miller also grabbed five rebounds and swiped three steals.

Celtics Can't Find Rhythm
Boston missed Jayson Tatum, who sat out while recovering from Achilles surgery. The Celtics struggled without their star forward.
Derrick White fought hard with 29 points. But he couldn't stop the Charlotte storm by himself.
Jaylen Brown grabbed 11 rebounds and scored 20 points. He worked hard for every bucket but didn't get enough help.
