Clippers Storm Back to Stun Rockets
The LA Clippers turned a 10-point hole into victory. Kawhi Leonard and company rallied past the Houston Rockets 105-102 on Wednesday night. The comeback ended Houston's three-game winning streak.
Leonard Leads the Charge
Kawhi Leonard looked like a superhero in the fourth quarter. His long arms snatched rebounds. His smooth jumper found the net again and again. Leonard finished with 27 points and 12 boards. He also grabbed four steals, swiping the ball like a ninja. His hands were everywhere on defense.
The two-time champion has now scored over 20 points in seven straight games. He keeps proving he's back to his best after injuries slowed him down in past seasons.
Role Players Step Up
Kris Dunn came through big for LA. He scored 16 points on hot shooting. Dunn made six of his 10 shots from the floor. His quick passes set up teammates perfectly with six assists.
Bennedict Mathurin added 16 points despite a tough shooting night. He showed his defensive skills with three steals. Brook Lopez chipped in 15 points while protecting the rim with two blocks.
