Wolves Win Big Without Their Stars
The Minnesota Timberwolves crushed the Milwaukee Bucks 139-106 on Tuesday night. Minnesota played without their superstar Anthony Edwards and defensive anchor Rudy Gobert. But it didn't matter one bit.
Randle Takes Over
Julius Randle was unstoppable. He powered through defenders like a freight train. Randle scored 29 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He dished out 6 assists too. His shooting was red-hot at 67 percent from the floor. Every time Randle caught the ball, Bucks defenders swarmed. But he found the open man or scored himself.
Hyland Lights It Up
Nah'Shon Hyland came off the bench like a lightning bolt. The young guard exploded for 23 points in just 21 minutes. Hyland's quick handles left defenders spinning. He attacked the rim with fearless energy. His shooting touch was pure magic at 56 percent.
Minnesota's Complete Team Effort
Naz Reid started at center with Gobert suspended for one game. Reid delivered 19 points on sizzling 67 percent shooting. Jaden McDaniels added 17 points and played lockdown defense. He swatted away 2 shots and hauled in 6 rebounds. Even Josh Okogie chipped in 13 points with amazing 86 percent shooting.
The Timberwolves jumped ahead early. They led 38-20 after one quarter. By halftime, Minnesota was cruising 76-45. The third quarter ended 106-78. The Wolves' ball movement was beautiful to watch. Every pass found the perfect target.
Giannis Battles Alone
Giannis Antetokounmpo fought hard for Milwaukee. The Greek superstar scored 25 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. He dished 5 assists while shooting 69 percent. Bobby Portis added 14 points and 7 boards. But the Bucks couldn't slow down Minnesota's attack.
Looking Ahead
Minnesota improved to 27-14 and sits fourth in the Western Conference. The victory showed the Wolves have depth beyond their stars. Edwards and Gobert will return Friday against Houston. Milwaukee fell to 17-23 and faces San Antonio next on Thursday.
