Week 18 Final NFL Power Rankings: #32 -#17
The regular season is almost over, and for these 16 teams, the playoffs are no longer the goal. Week 18 is about pride, player evaluations, and setting the tone for the offseason. Some teams are building momentum, others are limping to the finish line, but all of them are already thinking about the draft and next year.
32. Raiders (2-14)
Las Vegas got handled by the Giants 34–10 in a game that showed how far this roster still has to go. New York’s defense scored and controlled the field, and the Raiders never found a rhythm. Week 18 should be about evaluating young pieces and protecting anyone you want healthy for 2026.
31. Titans (3-13)
Tennessee dropped a wild one to the Saints, 34–26, in a game where their offense had some exciting moments, but the mistakes swung it. They scored through the air, but couldn’t get enough stops late. Now it’s “who’s part of the future?” time.
30. Giants (3-13)
The Giants finally looked in control in that 34–10 win over the Raiders. Their rookie QB Jaxson Dart used his legs to score twice, and Wan’Dale Robinson stayed busy as the go-to target. Even in a lost season, that’s the kind of “building block” game you want heading into next year when Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo should be back healthy.
29. Jets (3-13)
New York got crushed by New England 42–10, and it felt over early. The Patriots’ offense scored in waves, and the Jets only got a real spark from a late Breece Hall long touchdown run. Week 18 likely turns into a full-on tryout for depth players.
28. Cardinals (3-13)
Arizona fell 37–14 to the Bengals, and it was the same story: not enough consistency on offense, not enough answers on defense. Cincinnati’s run game and quick scoring drives buried them. The Cardinals’ final week is about identifying who can actually execute clean football.
27. Browns (4-12)
Cleveland’s best moment of the season might be the spoiler win over the Steelers, 13–6. Rookie QB Shedeur Sanders flashed composure, and the defense made life miserable for Pittsburgh all night. That kind of win doesn’t fix the season, but it can shape the offseason tone.
26. Commanders (4-12)
Washington lost 30–23 to Dallas on Christmas Day, and it was a tough one because their run game had real juice. Jacory Croskey-Merritt ripped off a 72-yard touchdown run, but they couldn’t get the last stop when it mattered. Week 18 is about finding a few more players who finish games.
25. Chiefs (6-10)
Kansas City fell to Denver 20–13, which officially stamped this season as a shocker. They were scrappy, but the Broncos’ rookie QB Bo Nix made the key plays late. Week 18 should be cautious: rest veterans, avoid injuries, and let young guys fight for 2026 roles.
24. Bengals (6-10)
Cincinnati looked like the more talented team in a 37–14 win over Arizona. Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase connected early, and Chase Brown powered the second half on the ground. That’s the frustrating part, this team still flashes “contender” football even in an eliminated season.
23. Saints (6-10)
New Orleans won 34–26 at Tennessee to complete a late surge and finish strong. Their rookie quarterback Tyler Shough looked confident, and the offense answered every time the game tightened. The Saints end the year with momentum and that matters when decisions are coming.
22. Dolphins (7-9)
Miami escaped Tampa Bay 20–17 on a last-second field goal in a messy, back-and-forth game. Quinn Ewers hit a huge deep touchdown early, and De’Von Achane kept them steady on the ground. It wasn’t perfect, but they fought and that’s what coaches want to see before the offseason.
21. Falcons (7-9)
Atlanta earned a big-feeling win, 27–24 over the Rams, behind Bijan Robinson’s monster night (229 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns). The Falcons’ defense made game-changing plays, then Bijan closed it out to set up the late game-winner. Even eliminated, that’s a “this can be our identity” statement.
20. Cowboys (7-8-1)
Dallas beat Washington 30–23 with explosive plays and just enough late composure. Dak Prescott hit KaVontae Turpin for a huge 86-yard touchdown, and the Cowboys survived a couple momentum swings. Week 18 is about seeing who plays hard when the stakes are gone.
19. Colts (8-8)
Indianapolis lost 23–17 to Jacksonville in a game that felt like a missed opportunity. They had early momentum behind Jonathan Taylor, but turnovers and stalled red-zone trips kept them from finishing. The NFL's most exciting early season story is now an 8-8 team and out of the playoffs.
18. Vikings (8-8)
Minnesota beat Detroit 23–10 in a defense-first game that turned on takeaways. They forced multiple turnovers and turned them into points, then slammed the door late. If you’re the Vikings, you’re going into Week 18 wanting that same defensive edge to carry into next year.
17. Lions (8-8)
Detroit is the top team in this “bottom 16” list by record, but the Vikings loss showed their floor when things go wrong. The offense never settled, and turnovers killed any chance of a comeback. Week 18 is a big reality-check game: can they respond with focus, or do they drift into offseason mode early?
Week 18 may not change the standings for these teams, but it can still matter. Strong finishes can build confidence, weak efforts can raise tough questions, and young players can earn real roles for next season. When the final whistle blows, the focus officially shifts to the NFL Draft and the race to climb out of this list in 2026.
